Shalom,
An email from our pastor (the tour leader)…
Hi Everyone,
Wow!! In exactly four weeks we will begin our TRIP OF A LIFETIME! I want each of you to know that I’m praying diligently for you as we get closer to our departure. I’m confident that these ten days will be a brief season of life-long transformation for us. Tracey and I have been planning our music for our worship times together, I’m re-reading all of the relevant bible passages and we’re planning for a few special “surprises” along the way! This is going to be a GREAT trip! *(Vickilynn’s note: I’ll be singing Via Dolorosa on the REAL Via Dolorosa!! Amazing!)
I’ve been keeping a check on the weather in Jerusalem throughout January. The temperature has been steadily climbing throughout the month. Right now the days are beautiful at about 60 degrees, with the evenings dipping into the low 40’s. This is in Jerusalem where we will be out at night a good bit, so be sure and pack a warm jacket for these cool evenings. If this weather pattern continues we should see gorgeous days. The temperatures in Galilee should be in the mid-60’s to 70…perfect! Daytime in the desert (Monday, February 26th) will probably be quite hot.
Below I’ve included the previous scripture passages to help you prepare for our time in Israel, along with a few new ones. We’ll stay in close touch as we prepare for departure. Let me know if you need anything at all. Also, if you have not yet received your passport, please forward the passport number and expiration date to me as soon as you get it!!
Shalom,
Pastor Jim
